Biomedical Engineering Department
As healthcare delivery has become increasingly dependent on more sophisticated technologies/complex equipment and systems, the biomedical engineering as the name implies has become the bridge between the worlds of medical, engineering and business professionals.
The aim of the Biomedical Engineering Department in EMC is to reduce device downtime using trained staff with the correct backup to ensure medical devices are maintained in a safe & reliable condition.
The Department is also responsible for managing and maintaining the medical equipment in the Hospital.
The Biomedical Engineering Department functions and provides engineering services to a clinical environment supporting technology, clinicians and the patient technology interface to reduce risks, improve patient outcomes and enhance patient care in a cost effective manner.
