Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio Pancreatography (ERCP)
This procedure allows physicians to examine gastrointestinal bile duct systems of the liver, gallbladder and pancreas using an endoscope. This procedure is used diagnosing and treating problems such as:

 

• Jaundice
• Abdominal pain
• Various pancreatic and bile duct system problems
• Tumour diagnosis and biopsy
• Stone removal
• Using endoscopic balloons or stent placement

 

During an ERCP procedure patients receive a mild sedative and pain medication for comfort.
